Dean having a Louis de Pointe du Lac style existential crisis because he now has a base instinct to kill what he has spent his whole life protecting.

Dean doing battle with his own bloodlust and refusing to drink even animal blood because he  won’t let himself become a monster even if he is one. 

Dean going on a one man vampire hunting spree, decapitating his way through nest after nest because if he can’t stop himself from being one of them, he can at least make it so that he’s the only one.

Philosophically pitting Vampire!Dean against Souless!Sam. What’s worse? Having an inhuman soul  or no soul at all?
