A third party vote is not a wasted vote. It is not a ‘spoiler’ vote. It is not a ‘wasted’ vote. It is not the reason that any person you didn’t vote for wasn’t elected, it does not make you responsible for whoever is elected unless your third party candidate is.
Do not listen to the people attacking, demeaning or criticizing you for exercising your most basic right in this country. They are wrong, vote your heart.
I mean i appreciate the sentiment behind this of vote for who you believe will do the best, but third party votes are wasted votes just because of how the electoral college is set up. So, vote for who you want, but realize it would take a miracle of biblical proportions for them to actually win.
That’s the electoral college’s fault, not my fault. When I hear “you’re wasting your vote”, I don’t hear “electoral colleges” I just hear “we have a shitty system and you need to settle for it, rather than try to change it”. Settling for shit is why we keep electing the lesser of two evils every single election, until now we’ve gotten to the point where there is no true lesser, they’re just two different kinds of evil.
