So much for Dean getting his time apart. And getting to come back on his own terms.

I think this shows how Dean needs his family and friends to pull him back. Even if it’s forceful. He is so unsure of himself and never puts himself first so I love those moments where Sam Cas and Bobby pulled him out and fought for him. Dean may not come back if it’s on his terms. He has shown times where he ran to face it alone and it almost ended in his death. But they won’t let him destroy himself and I love them for it.

Excuse me if I can’t consider Bobby brushing aside that Sam tried to strangle Dean in 4×21 or that Soulless!Sam let Dean get turned into a vampire and nearly get raped in 6×05 and forcing Dean to stay with him even though Dean is obviously traumatised and scared of his brother as “moments where Sam Cas and Bobby pulled him out and fought for him.” Their behaviour in scenes like this only reinforces the idea that Dean mustn’t put his own needs first under any circumstances.

only in this fandom, and only with dean it is considered good for dean to

beat him violently when he is suicidal

force him to ignore that sam just stangled him

tell him to get back to his case after said ‘case’ let him be assaulted and turned into a vampire 

tell him to ‘stow’ his feelings when his brother ask him to choose btw the vampire who saved his life in purgatory and a familial relationship

etc.

yes. i can see who this is good for and definitely it ain’t dean.
