replied to your post “Can we talk about how hypocritical it is for them to have Dean going…”

when they had that agreement Sam was going to be trapped in THE CAGE for eternity and there was really nothing he can do about it . But if sam is in danger and dean CAN do something about ,you bet he will raise hell to save his little brother and Sam does care about dean he freaking raised DARKNESS for him,he stopped the trials for him, he spent MONTHS searching for a way to get him out of his deal and then tried to sell his soul for him and looked for lilith to aveng h

The “agreement” was never uttered on Supernatural. The “agreement” was used as a way to justify Sam not looking for Dean after the S7 finale.

And while Sam was trapped in the cage, Dean still researched ways to get him out of the cage. He didn’t find anything, but he tried. That’s all Dean could have asked from Sam after S7. Try. Just try.

Sam releasing the Darkness when Dean asked him not to use the Book of the Damned in the first place, was not the best way to go about showing his love. LOL

I’m not saying that I didn’t appreciate that Sam decided to take action versus inaction, but still…

Sam decided not to do the trials at Dean’s suggestion, and then promptly blamed Dean for forcing him into making that decision. Ultimately, it was Sam’s decision to make. One he regretted making. A decision that he threw back in Dean’s face when it suited him.

And yeah, Sam was devastated by Dean’s death. And he did try to rescue Dean from hell. Points for that. But then Dean returned, and Sam proceeded to ignore Dean’s presence and warnings for an entire season. And topped that year off with choking his brother and choosing a demon over him. Good times.

Not saying that Sam doesn’t love Dean. But he has an interesting way of showing it at times.

Not a Sam fan. *shrugs*
