Ok. Can I just…
I see people saying that the relationship between Dean and Sam isn’t healthy, and then they add: “Well, at least on Dean’s side.”
And I’m just…
Are we not forgetting the lengths that Sam went to in order to get the mark removed from Dean’s arm last season? And that from the start of Sam’s mission to the very end: people died and the Darkness was released?
How soon this fandom forgets. But even more disturbing is how soon this show forgets.
Are we going to ignore that this show clearly treats/handles Dean’s actions completely different from Sam’s? Dean is told repeatedly by several characters, including Sam, that his reasons for keeping Sam alive are selfish. And yet, we had Sam doing pretty much the same thing last season and not a peep from anyone. It certainly wasn’t discussed or pointed out the same way they’ve been doing with Dean. There were no lessons to be learned for Sam, who pretty much committed the same crimes last season. But Dean…that Dean. He’s the only one who needs to learn a lesson.
Frankly, I’m tired of the double standards. This show and this fandom need to do better.
