It’s nice that SPN acknowledged that it’s
okay to need some space when you’re struggling with something.

What is not nice is that once again, it’s
presented as a lesson that Dean has to learn, as something he has to accept, as
something he has to acknowledge someone else has a right to (in this case Mary,
in past cases usually Sam).

And it’s also not nice that whenever Dean
was the one asking for some space, whether emotional or physical (e.g. after
John died, after Dean came back from Hell, after Sam lied to him, beat him up
and strangulated him), he did not get
that space – or if he did, like at the beginning of season 5, he was punished
for it by the narrative, and was shown the error of his selfish and whiny ways.

So everyone’s entitled to getting some
space when they need it, but in Dean’s case, the “lesson” he is supposed to
learn is that he needs to let everyone in, on their terms and when they
want it, because that’s the only right and healthy way…

what’re y’all talking about? Magda made it to Cali. She’s learning to ride a horse, as part of her trauma therapy. She met a nice girl, and has shyly started a friendship with her. She texts Sam often, and they chat. Sam opens up to her about him actually being “The Devil.” 

She def didn’t die alone in a bathroom. Nope.

so we established: mum is 2be forgiven, Dean’s not allowed to feel hurt, Sam knows it all and the Brits MoL r assholes. meh. ^_o

this episode could have been awesome,and I’ll watch it again to make sure I don’t slay it for petty reasons, but at the moment it looks like I’ll only enjoy the pater!Dean gifs
