Sam and Dean being held for 6+ weeks is honestly really unrealistic though

They know GOD. They have an angel as their best friend. They know the king of HELL. Someone should’ve/would’ve been able to find them a hell of a lot sooner than six weeks. What is this.

My suspicion that it’s not actually the Secret Service and there’s something more going on here. That one dude was kinda suspicious and the whole “someplace that doesn’t really exist” crap makes me think maybe the US Gov is more aware of the supernatural that we were previously led to believe which would actually be a really cool development.

Like, the MoL reformed on the sly after 1958, and with government backing?

Or maybe the government kind of noticed all the weird shit that’s been happening over the years (like, I dunno, the Apocalypse, or all the Sucracorp zombies, or the serial killer brothers who keep dying but then keep popping up?)

Or maybe some politician or whatever had a run in with something supernatural or some hunters once upon a time? 

(My money is on Teddy Roosevelt. Like he wasn’t killing wendigos and shit in his spare time.)

The most annoying thing of it all is that the basic bones of the story could have made for a hella ep in someone else’s hands. I don’t understand why they continue to give the big eps to the worst writers (never mind I understand. Out of touch husband, out of touch wife) but damn it’s frustrating because unless the boys deliberately wanted to get arrested, there was NO POINT to them staying there with the POTUS and I think they had no intention of getting arrested seeing as how Cas seems bereft in the preview. The only thing I can think is that they stayed to take the heat off Kelly. I don’t even know.
