More then ever I think Millie Bobby Brown’s situation reflects we live in a culture that does not care about children. Mbb was forced to sign sexualized fanart of her character on stranger things made by a man who makes a living off drawing child rape porn. Her parents let these people around their daughter and now they’re letting a 31 year old man talk to her about “things that should stay in text” and who is already being disturbingly possessive saying “I miss you” everyday. And the entire entertainment industry and us the public are just standing by and watching it.

And then there’s the other stranger things kids like Finn Wolfhard who had a grown adult woman call him sexually attractive granted there was immediate backlash but still him and the cast of It had erotic FanFiction and fanart made of them even some where they were raped by pennywise which made the children extremely uncomfortable. Even with the “fiction =/= reality” it still made them uncomfortable.

We can already see how children especially young girls like mbb are being sexualized younger and younger. It doesn’t stop at famous children either. Look at any Instagram account of a young girl and you already see her sexualizing herself wearing styles and cuts of clothes meant for women much older and wearing full faced make up. With the excuse “I thought she was over 18” coming up more and more this is especially troubling. And I honestly doubt any child would really want to dress like a 21 year old if she wasn’t given attention by older men when she did. When I think of how I dressed at 14 I remember I wore anime and graphic tees. I wore sloppy mascara and bright purple eye shadow. I wore gaudy jewelry from Claire’s with cupcakes and cartoons on them. I dressed like a child because I was one.

Every child wants attention from adults it makes them feel special and mature. Now adults are taking advantage of that. We are watching children being groomed and abused right before our eyes. The parents do nothing, we do nothing, no one does anything. How many times do we watch the media hound a celebrity woman showing signs of obvious past sexual abuse? How many children in foster care get caught up in sex trafficking and we ignore them? How many abused and raped children never get help? We live in a culture that doesn’t give a fuck about children. We see them as objects, toys, and as investments Not as actual living human beings. And it is most obviously in them media we consume we just don’t care.

time to unstan Jackson Galaxy

This is incredibly disappointing. We need more people using negative like emoticons on the post, more people liking the comments that point out how disgusting this is, and more people making comments explaining how and why this is a terrible fucking idea. Maybe if enough people point out how wrong this is he’ll reconsider. Dude shoulda stuck to cats.

The post is here. Let him know how you feel.

Okay, I’m not very educated with dogs, but I thought dogs could do the vegan thing, if the food is right to get them the right proteins? I know cats can’t.

Nope. Dogs are not obligate carnivore like cats, but they are still carnivores. It is in no way ethical to force an animal designed to derive their nutrients from meat protein onto a plant only diet.

This describes dogs as opportunistic omnivores in the opening which sounds like they’re suggesting they’re omnivores but if you continue to read on it isn’t what they are saying. Dogs are actually best described as opportunistic carnivores.

SPN 14×04 Mint Condition

This isn’t a “poor Dean doesn’t have friends” post, but… I think he could really use a friend who is like this. Not only someone who’d nerd out with Dean over the things Dean loves so much, but also because of the “No questions asked.” Someone who, seeing that Dean’s feeling down, would just hang out with him and be there for him without immediately trying to make Dean talk about it. Let Dean work through things at his own pace.

Yup. Making us wish that Dean have a no questions asked friend like that who totally indulges his pizza and western movie nights and let’s him dress him up like a cowboy and even puts on the walk, accent and everything and is his…

I mean it’s not like Davy himself wrote these two episodes 😉

He’s purposefully pointing out that he does have a friend just like this, if only he asks and is honest that he wants him to stay and do this with him, not that they as a family need him for his help for a mission but Cas staying and doing this stuff with him is just what he wants because it’s what he wants.

In a season dubbed *season what do you want 14* coming from Dean’s own mouth.

Oh wait 😉

*sigh* Of
course. As always, it comes down to Dean being too afraid to admit what he
truly wants…

Yes, Cas may be less of a nag than Sam, but he’s just as judgmental, and far less trustworthy. Also,
indulging someone in their nerdy passion isn’t the same as sharing that nerdy
passion. (Besides, they were working a case in 13×06, not cosplaying for fun—that’s something Dean did with Charlie and Sam.) And move and pizza nights? I didn’t notice Cas anywhere in Dean’s room when
Dean was marathoning horror movies. All we know is that at some point, Dean made Cas watch Tombstone.  But you know who we actually saw Dean watching movies with? Sam (repeatedly) and
Charlie.

Dean knows
what he needs. The problem isn’t that he’s too afraid and too deep in the
closet to ask, it’s that Cas simply isn’t what he needs. Not like this.

(Also, Davy
Perez is a guy who can’t remember that Halloween being the last time Sam saw
Jess alive might be the actual reason why Sam hates Halloween, and he also
tends to forget that Dean exists for large chunks of his own episodes. There’s
no way he’s putting subtle Destiel messages into episodes that are a year
apart.)
