The fact that the vast majority of content creators think it’s bad that Dean sold his soul because it will make POOR SAM unhappy and not because it’s DEAN ENGAGING IN SUICIDE makes me want to stick knives in my eyes

Like the most casual of fucking fics will do this. Even if it’s the tiniest aside in a much larger fic, even if the entire fic is about teaching Dean why selling his soul was wrong, THAT’S what these SHITFORBRAINS are concerned about. SAM FEELING SAD when DEAN HAS REVEALED TWISTED SELF-HATRED SO INTENSE THAT HE IS LITERALLY SENDING HIMSELF TO ETERNAL TORMENT.

I just cannot fucking believe that ANYONE thinks this. I believe more and more every day that for some deranged reason, Supernatural attracts an unnaturally high volume of sociopaths. I can’t maintain my faith in humanity any other way.
