stop invalidating dean’s feelings by reducing them to something childish. his problems with his parents are not simply the product of some complex he has about lost childhood. dean’s been through a hell of a lot, and like he said, he wasn’t ever a child – but that doesn’t mean that he’s incapable of mature, adult, justifiable emotions towards people that hurt him. he’s allowed to feel hurt and angry with mary because she betrayed him and lied to his face and endangered the people he loves. so fuck you for reducing his legitimate anger and heartbreak to merely the expression of some repressed need to be kissed goodnight. dean is a grown man who is allowed to be angry at his mother because she hurt him, so please stop invalidating and then unconvincingly resolving his completely justifiable problems with her.
