I don’t even mind all that much that Sam got to use the lance to kill the demon. That was basically as co-incidental as Dean killing Hitler.

But not even a minor reference? I mean, even Mary’s got to know about Dean being Michael’s vessel.

Honestly I wouldn’t have cared if they mentioned that Dean was Michael’s vessel, but the fact that they didn’t even allude to it on top of Dean not using the Lance just feels like very pointed Michael erasure.
