As usual, Jensen is the source for the biggest finale spoilers. Silly boy. Sounds like we’re getting some ghosts helping in the battle with the darkness? Maybe we will see Mary???

Please tell me he was just kidding with the supposed spoilers. The last two seasons finales were 100% Dean centric. I don’t want to see another one this year.

Also, is Jensen the only one who seems to get praised by the higher ups? What, is Jared chopped liver?

Well of course he does. Season 9 finale was all about Dean dying and becoming a demon. Season 10 finale was all about saving Dean from the MOC and him killing Death. So the season 11 finale is going to have Dean sacrificing himself to save the world? Sam who? Oh and to make it even better we’ve had a season full of this Amara and Dean have a connection crap. Again, Sam who?

Gosh I can’t wait for the scene where Dean and Cas save the world by making out as they push what’s his name off a cliff.

Season 1 was All About Sam including the finale. 

Season 2 was All About Sam and the Special Children including the finale. 

Season 4 was split, but the finale was essentially about Sam releasing Lucifer. 

Season 5 had Swan Song, which is the most All About Sam finale there is.

Oh no wait!….there’s Season 6 which had two Sams and took place in Sam’s head while Dean sat at his bedside looking miserable.

Season 8 ended up being All About Sam and the Trials including the awful finale   

You get the picture? So far there have been 6 Samcentric finales to Dean’s 4! 

Oh and have we really had a whole season of Dean and Amara? Dean has hardly had any contact with her during the second half of this season (in fact I swear Misha has had more screen time than Jensen playing either Cas or Lucifer!Cas confronting her). And lets not forget that the first half of this season was All About Sam and his Lucifer visions. 

Seriously? What the hell does it take for these Sam fans to be happy other than having Dean just sit in the corner, cradling the “Samulet” and declaring his undying love for Sammy. 

These Samfans would only be happy if Dean followed Sam around with a leash around his neck and even then they’d probably blame him for taking up too much screen time.

The funny thing is we still don’t know what s11 finale will be about and how much (if ever) Dean-centric it will be and yet they already whine.

What they’re really whining about is the mere suggestion that Dean might maybe sacrifice himself and save the world. If Dean does that, it would imply that certain mythologically based character archetypes that they like to claim belong exclusively to Sam are just as equally applicable to Dean and will be proven to be so by the very canon of the show and they can’t have that because that annihilates the Samcentric narrative they’ve constructed.

Honestly, the fact that they need Sam to be the show’s one and only hero and/or savior so fucking badly speaks volumes to me. It tells me that they can’t accept Sam for who is and for his shortcomings as a character. That they need to construct a narrative in which Sam is always and in literally every way possible the big damn hero because if he’s not, that mean’s that they have to confront aspects of his character they don’t like and don’t want to admit that he has.
