Just an observation.
Sam has visions after he prayed and decides the visions came from God. No doubt, no hesitation.
Others: are you sure? Maybe you just want them to be from God?
Sam: NO! They’re from God. Period. (cause no one else can send them, you know).Dean is told that God commanded to save him from Hell.
Dean: why me? I’m not important. I’m no good. There’s no way God would have any interest in me.Gash, sometimes I wonder how those two are even related.
This is why I like Dean so much. Sam might have the lions share of religiosity and belief, but it’s Dean, even though he’s a skeptic, who is the saint because Dean comes from a place of humility, doubt and non-entitlement. I really like that about him. Hence why I think Divine!Dean is so damn compelling.
